What’s the difference between Buy for myself, Open to match, and Invite someone?
Buy for myself is a package for you alone - no matching. Buy & open to match asks the system to introduce you to someone compatible. Invite someone I’ve chatted with sends a private invite to one past chat partner (no open matching).
What if my directed invite is declined or expires?
You are notified. On My purchases you can convert the voucher to open matching or keep it for yourself, cancel a pending invite, or invite a different past chat partner.
What does “Join in” mean?
Join in marks that you are interested in a package and open to being invited when someone else buys it and opens matching. You can be invited even if you did not buy that package yourself.
How do package reviews work?
After your visit is confirmed or the venue redeems your code, the purchaser can rate the package experience (not their dating partner). Public reviews appear on the package only after a verified redeem.
I bought (or got an offer) - why is Messages empty?
A private chat appears only after someone Accepts a match offer. Buying or receiving an offer is not enough. Until Accept, check email/SMS for the offer link and My purchases for match status.
Who gets the match? What if several people get an offer?
The system invites compatible people who marked Join in. The first person to Accept wins. Other pending offers for that purchase close, and the chat opens between the buyer and the person who accepted.
What if nobody accepts?
Offers expire if no one accepts. The system can invite more people in the same search round after a short wait, or start a new round when new suitable people appear. There is no manual “Find again” button - matching continues automatically when candidates are available.
What happens if we end the conversation?
Ending the chat (or blocking) closes that pairing. Your purchase can go into a new matching round with other people. Former partners and people who declined are not invited again for that same purchase.
What if we matched but never talk?
If a match chat stays inactive for a long time (about a week), the system treats it as ended and looks for a new partner on the same purchase.
Do I need a complete matching profile?
You can buy open to match with an incomplete profile (you’ll see a warning), but you won’t be fully included in matching until required Matching fields are filled and you upload a profile photo. Directed invites do not require a photo. Profile → Matching is where those settings live; your photo is uploaded at the top of Profile.
What’s the difference between Near me and Search a place?
If your profile has a location, Near me sorts experiences by distance from you. Search a place uses city, ZIP, or venue search to browse a selected area. Completing your profile location makes Near me more useful.
How do match notifications work?
Match offers and updates can arrive by email and, if enabled and verified, by SMS. Quiet hours can delay SMS until later. You can review notification preferences in your profile.
Can I suggest a venue that isn’t in the catalog?
Yes. On the catalog, use Suggest a venue. Sign in if needed, then send the business name and an address or link. We review suggestions as support tickets.
What are Discounts?
Discounts are marketing deals from venues outside the package catalog. Anyone can browse them from Discounts in the header. Sign in to reveal promo codes on each offer. Contact phone numbers are for staff only.
Where can I see the product tour again?
After you create an account, a short tour explains the basics. You can reopen it anytime from Profile → Show product tour.
When do we go to the venue?
After you match, use the chat to agree on a visit. Confirming a visit plan marks the date as committed for that purchase. Redeeming the package at the venue is a separate step once you are ready to go - venue staff can look up your redemption code at the door.
What is Voice Check-in?
After you set a private SAFE word in Profile → Safety and turn on Safety Check-in for a visit, OpenInvite2 texts you and then calls your verified phone after the visit time plus your delay. Say your exact SAFE word to confirm you are okay. This is not an emergency service.
What is Silent Help?
In a match room, Silent Help creates a high-priority support ticket for platform staff. It does not call you and does not notify your date or any contacts. It works even if Voice Check-in is off. If anyone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services first.

Can I sign in with Google or Facebook?
Yes for client accounts when those options are shown on Sign in / Sign up. Partners and staff use email and password. If you joined with Google or Facebook and have no password yet, use social sign-in, then set a password in Profile → Security if you want email login too.
